Reflections by CEO Linnéa Lindau - Chalmers Ventures

Reflections by CEO Linnéa Lindau

Six weeks have passed since we launched Chalmers Ventures, and it’s full speed ahead. It’s a privilege to work with such motivated entrepreneurs, and ambitious and enthusiastic co-workers. We have 10 awesome teams in the Encubation program and 11 more in the Startup camp. At the same time we have also started to make investments, so far in more than 20 promising companies.

During the fall, my co-workers and I, have worked a lot with presenting what Chalmers Ventures is. Some examples are the event Soup & Science, which you can read more about here, and Ingenjörsvetenskapsakademin’s evening seminar where I was one of the speakers together with Chalmers’ president Stefan Bengtsson and Chalmers Foundation’s CFO Fredrik Sanell. I will be presenting at many events ahead so if you are interested to know more about our initiative, keep an eye on our calendar on the website for the next opportunity.

Last, but not least, some positive news from the last week. Our portfolio company Minesto was listed on First North and the IPO was oversubscribed. It’s great to see that they now can take the next step in their development. We have many companies that are working actively for a sustainable future. Some of them are gathered under the name #GreenUps. Keep an eye on them; exciting things are happening when business benefits and climate benefits are combined.

For those of you that wish to be more frequently updated on what happens in our companies, and at Chalmers Ventures, I recommend you to follow us on Twitter and Facebook. There you will get our daily news – over 60 companies in the portfolio generate a lot of activity. You will find my tweets here: www.twitter.com/lindaulindau.

I wish to conclude this letter with the same words I used at our launch: Chalmers Ventures – supported by world leading competence and knowledge. Powered by true passion, curiosity and courage. Welcome to our world.

Linnéa, on behalf of Chalmers Ventures team
